It is the nature of a revolution to come full-circle, back to where it began. We are in that revolution, continuously moving toward a time that chronologically preceded itself.
There has been a lot of talk about environmental decay, about social corrosion, about the world itself falling apart by our own hands. This has inspired many people to reconsider their approach to life and the way that they are living it. I am one of those people.
I don’t necessarily consider myself an environmental activist. I am not extreme with my convictions and I don’t spend large amounts of time sweating over the prospect of global warming. I have just reached a point where everything seems so manufactured. Nothing is simple anymore. Childhood was beautiful because we played make-believe in the woods, took refuge in cardboard boxes, made art out of popsicle sticks and bottle caps… we were naturalists before we knew what it was, before it was chic to be green.
We are factory-made.
We are factory-made in China, Taiwan, Indonesia.
We are artificially sweet. We are from concentrate.
We are medicated. We are mediated. We are overdosing.
This realization was, in part, what inspired me to pursue an education in Natural Health. By bucking this trend of endless and mindless consumption, I truly believe individuals can improve their personal and global circumstances. The cliché is that change begins with yourself. And my bet is that making natural nutritional and lifestyle changes will change EVERYTHING.
I hope you will help me, teach me, and learn from me as I start my journey.
Yours in Health,
Kimberly

Hi Kimberly,
I don’t know if you remember me or not- my name is Alexx Wilcken, but my last name used to be Doverspike, and we were pen pals for the longest time after I moved away from N.H. years and years ago. My gramma (Sandra) sent me the link to this site, and I just wanted to say hi, and let you know I think what you’re doing here is awesome. Healthy living and eating as well as finding more holistic ways of healing the body and mind has been really big for me in the last few years, and it is so nice to see someone else on the same page! My husband and I are both pescetarians, and I practice yoga every day. I’d love to catch up with you sometime- it’s been so long, and we have some (really old) funny memories =) I hope to hear back from you! Good luck with everything.
Peace,
Alexx =)
Alexx!
Of COURSE I remember you! It has been so long… too long! Your grandmother and aunt just came to visit us last month! It was great to see them and they say you are doing well. Congratulations on your marriage! It’s crazy to think we were just playing arts-and-crafts in my basement and now we are adults haha. I’m so happy you enjoy my blog… it is such a central part of my life and my work, so I’m just grateful for an opportunity to discuss it with anyone who will listen! I just started working as the host of Health TV for InsidersHealth.com so you’ll have to check that out too once the first shows are up! Let’s please stay in touch… I will email you from my email address so we can catch up more!
Namaste

Hey Kimberly,
This is an insight bordering on poetry. You have a fine writing style, and some very insightful articles.
I’m impressed. When it comes to writing, I don’t impress easily.
Well done!
My sincerest hope is that others find your site. People really need this information. And they need it the way you write it.
Regards,
Shawn
Hi Shawn!
Thank you so much for the kind words! Your compliments mean so much and I can only hope that others see some value in these entries as well! This is something I’m very passionate about, so it’s always great when others share that interest. And I’m happy that I finally got a chance to read your work on IBS…that’s a great mission as well! (Finally, someone to ‘keep it real’!!) I hope we can collaborate something in the future… I’ll certainly link to your site and I’d love to use it as a resource in some upcoming Insider’s Health articles!
I’m sure we’ll have a chance to chat soon. Stay well and thanks again for your support!
Kim
Hi Kerry,
Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner. I actually have no rights to these images, I’m not sure of their original source. Sorry I can’t help you out! Good luck on your project!
