Naturopathy and Sustainability seem to go hand-in-green-hand. We rely on nature to heal ourselves, so it is in our best interest to protect and preserve it. It is all based on the idea of CONSCIOUS LIVING… we have to be mindful of how we are treating the earth and ourselves, and we must act deliberately when either entity is involved.

If we pollute and disrespect our bodies, then they will not serve us well. Similarly, if we continue to contaminate the planet, then it will not be able to provide the resources and future that it was once capable of.

I am convinced that once we realize the extent of nature’s beneficial power, we will renew (or find) a great appreciation for it.

Pollution and excessive waste are bi-products of consumer society. This is another indication that our nation’s manufactured lifestyle is becoming increasingly harmful. By reducing our consumption of factory-produced and packaged goods, opting to grow and consume natural produce, we are limiting waste while improving our own health. It seems like a win-win, but it requires breaking some deeply engrained cultural habits…
